The Talent Legacy project pays tribute to the historical legends of the Taller de Músics, revisiting some of their original compositions. On this occasion, the chosen figure is Sean Levitt, an American jazz guitarist who spent the last years of his life in Barcelona, linked to the Taller de Músics.
The project rewards the emerging value of the Taller de Músics, and that is why the young talents participate in two areas: compositional and interpretative. On the one hand, the BAO has chosen four of these musicians' own themes through the organization's First Jazz Composition Competition, to create a personal version with the orchestra. On the other hand, young artists will be in charge of performing them under the artistic direction of the BAO. This action is part of the Acciones para Músicos Noveles project, the result of the collaboration agreement between Taller de Músics and Acción Cultural Española, AC/E, which aims to drive the professional careers of new musical talents.
