La Pedrera in film
La Pedrera has been the setting for more than 15 international films.
La Casa Milà is a cinematic gem, an architectural marvel that you simply must visit when in Barcelona. This Gaudí building has been featured in several international films and has hosted stars such as Woody Allen, Scarlett Johansson, Jack Nicholson and Maria Schneider.
One of the most iconic films shot at La Pedrera is The Passenger, directed by Michelangelo Antonioni. This film famously featured Nicholson and Schneider strolling on the rooftop of La Pedrera in 1975. It caused a stir in the city at the time, as both actors were major icons of 1980s cinema.
Thanks to the research of Merli Marlowe for La Pedrera Inèdita, featuring the untold history of La Pedrera, we know of another film shot at the building: the Swiss film L’inconnu de Shandigor (1967), a parody of James Bond spy movies that was filmed almost entirely at Casa Milà.
