What does the visit include?

The façade

Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera, alludes to its appearance , like an exposed quarry (pedrera, in Catalan). Gaudí designed every detail with a unique artistic vision, and it was executed by hundreds of craftsmen of the time, who turned the stone and iron into an authentic living and monumental work of art.

The Rooftop

An emblematic rooftop with 360º panoramic views over Barcelona. The chimneys, ventilation towers and stairwells follow the undulating rhythm of the façade. Its symbolic forms, treated with trencadís mosaic of ceramic, stone or glass, combine beauty and function in a unique, vibrant space.

The Attic

A space full of harmony that houses the only Gaudí exhibition dedicated to his life and work. Under 270 brick arches, his creations are revealed through models, plans, designs and videos. An essential journey to discover his architecture and understand the keys to his genius

The Tenants' Apartment

A journey into the bourgeois lifestyle of 1911. This flat shows how a Barcelona family lived, with period furniture and details designed by Gaudí: mouldings, doorknobs, flooring... An authentic space that reflects an era and a city in the midst of transformation.

The Flower Courtyard

This courtyard was the main entrance for the owners of the building. A space full of colour and elegance, with floral murals painted on the walls and ceilings. The grand staircase, majestic and enveloping, rises between curved forms and natural light, creating a unique atmosphere.

The Butterfly Courtyard

A space that captivates with its design and visual richness. The vivid colours, spectacular wall paintings and the carefully designed architecture fill the courtyard with life. The majestic iron and glass doors, with their organic shapes and unique details, give character to this place full of light and harmony.

The Main Façade

Like a monumental altarpiece, the façade of the Administration Pavilion combines brick, stone and ceramics to tell the story of the hospital. With doors crowned by symbolic arches and a richly decorated foyer, it is remarkable for the mosaics that explain the centre’s medieval origins.

Sant Salvador Pavilion

The sculpture of Sant Salvador with angels and the balcony presided over by Sant Joan de Déu stand out. With details such as the Maltese crosses and the "G" by Pau Gil, today it houses an exhibition space on the history of the hospital and invites us to rediscover the origins and vocation of the Art Nouveau Site.

The Sant Rafael Pavilion

This space evokes the hospital of the 1920s. The sculpture of Saint Raphael and Tobias and a female figure recall the benefactors. Inside, a recreation with original furniture allows you to relive hospital life of the time and understand the evolution of medicine over the 20th century.

Operating House

It can be recognised by the apses with large windows that illuminated the old operating theatres. Its monumental architecture, with sculptures and mosaics, reflects the importance of medicine at the site. Today, the amphitheatre preserves historical images that take us back to the origins of surgical practice.

Underground tunnels

An invisible network connects the wards below ground, designed to move patients and materials comfortably and discreetly. With original tiles and an intact layout, the tunnels show Domènech i Montaner’s practical ingenuity and modern vision. Today they are part of the tour and reveal the hidden life that lay beneath the hospital.

Administration Pavilion

This pavilion now houses the Foundation’s headquarters and exhibition spaces. Carefully restored, it combines original splendour with new uses. The Assembly Hall and other rooms host cultural activities that bring the complex to life. It is the starting point of a visit that connects architecture, history and social vocation.
