On the roof of Casa Mila, the first notes of the Summer have been heard to the rhythm of the Liceu Big Bang jazz, which has a broad artistic career of the students of Advanced Studies of Jazz and Modern Music.
The audience has enjoyed the first musical night of the year on the roof, an exceptional setting with unique views of the city and the best live music of the jazz scene. The Liceu Big Bang has begun on time, before the sun went down. The band, composed by 23musicians, has interpreted classics written by unquestionable teachers of the genre such as Frank Foster, Thad Jones, John Clayton or Jim McNeely.
The Jazz evenings on the roof of La Pedrera presents 15 proposals with the most important young talent of jazz made in Barcelona, combining it with figures representing the jazz scene in order to achieve an unbeatable live soundtrack to enjoy the nights of Barcelona. The concerts are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays until mid-September.
The Nights of jazz in Casa Mila begin with a free visit to the Espai Gaudí, located in the iconic attic of Casa Mila, with a visual tour of the architect's work. The concert is accompanied by a glass on the roof, an emblematic and suggestive place that invites you to live the architecture, the night, the city and the music.
