Peñaranda-Garrido Quartet

This quartet, made up of students from the ESMUC, was formed with the aim of exploring the expressive possibilities of the piano-less quartet, a line-up that places collective interaction and musical rapport at the forefront. Through a repertoire combining original compositions with traditional jazz standards, the group creates a dynamic and open sonic space, where constant dialogue, improvisation and active listening serve as the true creative driving forces. Each concert is a living experience, in which individual voices converge into a shared discourse—fresh and rich in nuance—that demonstrates both respect for the language of jazz and a clear focus on the present.
