Jolazz
The JOLAZZ Project is the result of an exchange artist residency organised by Musika Bulegoa (Basque Country) and the Taller de Músics Escola Superior d'Estudis Musicals (ESEM) (Catalonia), which fosters creative dialogue and connections between jazz scenes in different regions.
The performance brings together a renowned musician from the Basque Country’s jazz scene with musicians linked to the Taller de Músicos ESEM community, creating a unique artistic encounter characterised by the exchange of experiences, musical languages and perspectives. Throughout June, the participants take part in an intensive artistic residency, conceived as a space for collective creation, experimentation and sound research. This process culminates in the project’s world premiere at the Talents Jazz Festival at La Pedrera, where the result of this collaboration will be presented: a unique offering that reflects the spirit of contemporary jazz, based on improvisation, shared listening and the construction of a common musical discourse.
