This visit is ideal for art and architecture lovers. It includes general admission to La Pedrera – Casa Milà, Antoni Gaudí’s iconic building, as well as access to the major temporary exhibition “Anselm Kiefer”, devoted to one of the most influential artists in contemporary art.
Exceptionally, twice a year, the main apartment of La Pedrera’s former owners, the Milà family, opens to all visitors, as it houses the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera exhibition hall. The original ceilings, windows and scale of the space reveal the importance this apartment held in its time.
This is the first major monographic exhibition in Barcelona devoted to the work of Anselm Kiefer (Donaueschingen, 1945), offering a focused and meaningful introduction to his conceptual universe. The exhibition brings together a selection of around forty works, mainly from the prestigious private collection of Hans Grothe —one of the most important collections devoted to the artist— as well as from several other private collections. This selection provides an insight into the symbolic and material complexity of his work —through painting, sculpture, installation, photography and artist’s books— and highlights a profound reflection on memory, matter and knowledge.
With this ticket, you can explore all the areas of La Pedrera open to visitors and enjoy Barcelona’s most spectacular and iconic rooftop. The visit also includes the main floor, formerly the residence of the Milà family, which hosts the temporary exhibition from 2 October 2026 to 24 January 2027. To fully enjoy the experience, the exhibition offers a musical itinerary and other resources available to download via QR code —visitors are advised to bring headphones— as well as sensory and cognitive accessibility services and resources.
During the visit, you can also admire the mural paintings decorating the interior courtyards and the building’s main staircase. Their colours and forms, inspired by nature, are genuine works of art that engage with the material language and spirit of Anselm Kiefer’s exhibition.

Today it houses the exhibition space of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and allows visitors to discover original Gaudí features, from the open-plan layout and stone columns, some of them inscribed, to the decorated ceilings that once covered the rooms.
Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera, alludes to its appearance , like an exposed quarry (pedrera, in Catalan). Gaudí designed every detail with a unique artistic vision, and it was executed by hundreds of craftsmen of the time, who turned the stone and iron into an authentic living and monumental work of art.
