The Enric Fuster Quintet was born in 2024 from a proposal by the "A Jazz de Mar" festival, which annually offers a local Mallorcan musician a carte blanche to record a new live album during the festival. When Enric Fuster was selected, he created a project that blends contemporary jazz with traditional Mallorcan and world folk influences.
Each composition is a window into the music that has shaped Enric’s life, forming a personal sound universe full of freedom and emotion. The group blends improvisation with traditional forms, delivering an authentic and vibrant musical experience.
The quintet features distinguished musicians who studied at the Liceu Conservatory: Kevin Díaz (piano, recipient of the 2020–2021 Jazz Performance Excellence Award), Camil Arcarazo (guitar, 2023–2024 award winner), Joan Garcias (double bass), Gorka Benítez (sax & flute, professor), and Enric Fuster himself (drums).
