When Antoni Gaudí built La Pedrera right in the heart of Passeig de Gràcia, he took into account that it was one of Barcelona's main avenues, and therefore needed to enhance the luxurious nature of the residences with various ornamental elements.

All the interior doors of La Pedrera and all the interior arches of the rental apartments are finished with mouldings around the frames. They are crafted with great plasticity and sensitivity using plaster, reed, and burlap. The themes of these mouldings are highly diverse, incorporating decorative details such as seashells, octopus tentacles, and more.

Another decorative feature of the doors at Casa Milà is the handles, which are all ergonomic, fitting the joints of the hand perfectly to ensure exceptional ease of use.

During your visit to The Apartment at La Pedrera, you will discover several decorative elements designed by Antoni Gaudí: furniture, flooring, household fittings, plaster ceilings, and ornamental details.
